Record Release and Kennedy's Farewell Show - 10/31 @ Burlington!

Please join us on 10/31 at the Burlington to celebrate Kennedy's last show as an acting member of Bully in the Hallway.

For over six years Kennedy has been a songwriter, guitarist, vocal coach, performer, best friend and brother to all of us in Bully in the Hallway.

He is and always will be a critical component to to the sound, 4 recordings, countless shows and memories treasured by the band, and shared with all of you.

In November, Kennedy will be moving to start a brand new adventure and we couldn't be happier or more supportive of him!

With his blessing, we will continue to make music as Bully in the Hallway.

However, on October 31st we have the special opportunity to play the music that we made as a group since 2007, and give Kennedy the proper send off!

If you've been to our past Halloween shows, you know how fun these can be.

This will also be our record release, more info soon!

See you there!

Our favorite time of year... Bully in the Hallway Halloween Schedule!

Halloween is definitely our favorite time of year... why? Shows are good, people are ready to party and (best of all) we get to pay tribute to our musical inspirations. Past Halloween shows have been fun (Ronny's...Exit...).

Halloween

This year is no exception, as we have THREE shows that CANNOT BE MISSED. Why?

Show #1 - BOOGAZI (our Fugazi alter ego) plays with the world's ONLY full-time Husker Du tribute band, Husker Dudes at Township. Also joining us is Unknown Pleasures playing the best of Joy Division with little to no smiles whatsoever. This show is SATURDAY 10.27.12 at Township.

Show #2 - Bully in the Hallway is honored to join a support effort for our deal pals Fallen Rivers for a special event and concert at the Hideout on Tuesday, 10.30.12. Why come out? Well, just a few weeks ago a terrible fire burned down a large warehouse overnight. The warehouse contained Fallen Rivers' practice space, and they lost ALL of their gear in the fire. ALL of it. This show is a fundraiser to help them rebuild their band. What's great to hear is their resolve, that losing instruments the fire "doesn't stop them from playing music." Right on! This show is also with Tell Your Friends - Come to the Hideout on 10.30.12 (this night is also guitarist Billy's 30th birthday...).

Fallen Rivers

Show #3 - BOOGAZI doubles down for a one-of-a-kind Halloween throwdown on 10.31.12 at TONIC ROOM. This show features an exceptional group that you'd be a fool to miss:

LOVERS OF THE SEA as THE DOORS (CRUISE SHIP BAND)
MOS SCOCIOUS as THE POLICE
JONNY RUMBLE as TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS
DASTARDLY as MORRISSEY

It's Halloween, get out of your house and get to this show, 10.31.12 at TONIC ROOM!!

Boogazi Returns this Halloween!

For the second year in a row, this October Bully in the Hallway becomes Boogazi, playing the music of Fugazi.

SEE Boogazi 10.27.12 at Township with Husker Dudes and Unknown Pleasures!
SEE Boogazi 10.31.12 at Tonic Room with The Doors, The Police, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Morrissey

The only know live photo of Boogazi, taken during in complete darkness during their live set at EXIT on 10.31.11

Bully in the Hallway Interviewed on Q101 Local 101!!

"Bully in the Hallway might not produce the most traditional of punk music, but the influences that those traditions have on this Chicago five-piece is undeniable. True to the genre’s evolution, Bully combines a multitude of sounds that gives them both a sophisticated and fun-loving sound."

Thanks Katie and Q101's Local 101 for the interview!

More props for "Crooks and their Castles"

Dave at TheBigTakeOver.com is STILL so into "Crooks and their Castles" so much that he recently writes "Seriously, just buy this already" in his latest top 10 list.

Hell yea, thanks Dave!! We agree!!

And you can do so at music.bullyinthehallway.com.

Recent (pre) Coverage of our show with All Eyes West

We were noted as LoudLoopPress.com's "Daily Diversion" this week for our show with All Eyes West and Eastland Disaster, which was FANTASTIC by the way. We should have pics soon. Thanks for the coverage LLP!

Chicago’s Bully In The Hallway impressed us with their latest release Crooks and their Castles as it’s a smartly constructed blend of hardcore punk and melodic alt-rock. At times the record rushed along with a Fugazi-esque sense of urgency, while at others, the band unleashes melodic but powerful flourishes that are nearly arena-rock ready. LISTEN: “Life is Money”
